NiNjA PenDiSk

Ninja is the freeware zero-configuration program designed for guarding computers against viruses transmitted by USB pendisks.

This ninja awaits quietly in the system tray for the times whenever a USB pendisk is inserted on the computer which will be examined to uncover the commonly malicious or virulent files known as "autorun.inf" and "ctfmon.exe" amongst many others.
To keep things simple, ninja is fully portable, self-contained and requires no installation. Besides removing known virulent files, this tool will also immunize your pendisk and create a folder called autorun.inf with special protection permissions to protect your pendisk from being infected again when plugged on contaminated computers.

Updates

The program will automatically look for daily updates from a web server and download a fresh updated list on daily basis (less than 5kb text file) and also download a new executable file whenever a new version becomes available.

Firewall: please add the ninja on the list of programs authorized by your firewall to allow automatic updates

Configuration

Zero-configuration because it doesn't require any steps or installation to run. Just click on the executable and "ninja" will start doing his work. There are however, several options available to customize. These options are all contained inside a text file called "ninja.txt" which also contains the database of dangerous files and actions to be taken in order to immunize pendisks.

Install to Windows Startup

Really simple,- Just run ninja and then right-click on the ninja icon at your tray menu next to the clock- Select the menu option "Add to windows startup"- No more steps required, ninja will copy itself to the "C:\Programs" folder and create a shortcut on StartupEverytime windows starts, this ninja will be ready for action.
